Warlord Games 28mm (1/56) scale Panther A

Warlord's (Italeri) plastic Panther

My all-time favorite German WW2 AFV.

Not much really to say about the build of this one, fairly straightforward. The hull MG mount or "kugelblende" (technically, I believe) was a little fiddly and disappointing at its fitment would be my only real gripe about it.
Painted up using only Vallejo acrylics, Microscale gloss varnish, weathered with Mig Ammo enamels, and finally sealed up with Microscale flat varnish to cut down that shine.

All paints applied with an airbrush.

Some of the brightness of the dunkelgelb will get toned down through the weathering process.

I really liked how this tri-tone came out.

I did a little bit of "battle damage" with some deforming and removal of the side-skirts and front fenders on this one (233).

Typical tri-tone late-war paint scheme for this Panther meant for the Normandy '44 theater.

Some basic stowage of jerry cans added on to the backend.

I used the excellent Rubicon Models German armor decals on this one.
